The data subject has the right to object to the processing of personal data concerning him or her by the controller.
It can be exercised in the following cases:
- For reasons related to their particular situation, when such data are processed based on a mission of public interest or the legitimate interests of the controller or a third party.
In this case, the responsible party must abandon the treatment unless it proves compelling reasons that prevail over the interests, rights and freedoms of the interested party, or that the treatment is directed to the formulation, exercise or defense of claims.
- When the treatment is aimed at direct marketing, including also the elaboration of profiles.
