The Government delegate in the Canary Islands, Anselmo Pestana, inaugurated on Monday the ‘Conference on Safety in Pyrotechnic Shows’, organized by the Industry and Energy area of the Government Delegation, within the framework of the Open Administration Week 2025, an initiative that aims to promote transparency, participation and collaboration among all actors involved in public management.
The event, which took place at the headquarters of the Delegation of the Government of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, was also attended by the deputy delegate of the Government in Las Palmas, Teresa Mayans, as well as the director of the functional area of Industry and Energy, Eloye Moreno, and the first corporal of the Civil Guard, Pablo Souto.
This day is intended for representatives of municipalities, party commissions, specialized companies, security technicians, as well as experts of the Intervention of Weapons and Explosives of the Civil Guard, with the objective of deepening the technical aspects on the regulation, the security regulations, and the best practices in the use and control of pyrotechnic products, and thus promoting a safe, regulated and professional pyrotechnics.
“We want to offer the training and tools so that, at the end of this meeting, the attendees have a better preparation, in order to face the daily challenges posed by the management of pyrotechnics and, in this way, guarantee the safety of people and the environment, reducing air pollution, noise and disturbance of wild fauna,” said the Government delegate in the Islands.
