The Government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, today took stock of the action of the Government of Pedro Sánchez throughout this year 2025 in the community, confirming that “the Government complies, Galicia progresses and the country advances in the economic and social agenda”.
“We are not talking about intentions, we are talking about results,” he added, while stressing that “the policies of this government are improving the lives of Galicians and Galicians with more jobs, more investments and more opportunities.”
Pedro Blanco highlighted various measures that are having a direct impact on the daily life of citizens such as raising the minimum wage, revaluing pensions, scholarships for young people, discounts on public transport, support for dependency or strengthening the social shield. “They are actions,” he said, “that are already reaching Galician homes and that strengthen the welfare state and protect the social majority and we will continue to do so,” he said.
The delegate also stressed that in this year about to end, Galicia had more resources than ever, exceeding 14 billion euros, a record figure that means “14 billion opportunities to grow, strengthen the productive fabric and ensure that economic progress always goes hand in hand with social justice.”
Pedro Blanco recalled that in seven years of Pedro Sánchez’s government, Galicia received 40% more resources to finance public services than in Rajoy’s seven years, with a difference of 18,284 million euros more. “That is the true comparison between cutting and protecting, between leaving Galicia or betting on it with facts,” he said.

Pedro Blanco acknowledged that there are challenges ahead, but defended that “a long time ago, there is a project, there is a direction and there is a government determined to continue moving forward”. “We have two more years to consolidate an inclusive country model, without exclusions or setbacks, that looks to the future with ambition and hope,” he said.
