The Provincial Traffic Directorate stressed that everything indicates that this will be the record year in number of collisions with animals, since so far a total of 1,627 were registered in the province (of which 1,118 were with wild boar), only one less than the historical maximum of 2022. The data corresponding to what goes from 2025 already represents 283 collisions more than in the total of the previous year. With respect, Eladio Santos asked the competent administration for the management of wild animals to take measures for an effective control of the wild boar population.
The National Police highlighted the increase in the clarification of crimes against sexual freedom (100% of complaints were resolved), robberies with violence and robberies with force in establishments. It also highlights the preventive work carried out in coordination with the Local Police with a systematic joint presence in the leisure area of the city.
The Ourense Civil Guard Command also increased its clarification rate, in particular, by more than 5% in this semester compared to the same period of 2024, with a high rate in cybercrime resolution.
Subdelegate Assistance Commission
The Law on the Legal Regime of the Public Sector establishes that in each Subdelegation of the Government there must be a Subdelegate Assistance Commission, chaired by itself and composed of the Secretary General and the holders of the territorial organs and services, both integrated and non-integrated, of the province. This commission coordinates the actions that are carried out homogeneously at the provincial level to ensure compliance with the general objectives set by the Government for territorial services.
