- The evolution of crime in the municipality continues the downward trend that began in 2023
A total of 700 National Police officers will participate in the different devices established to guarantee the normal development of the Patron Festivities in Móstoles, which will be held from September 11 to 15, and the safety of all attendees.
In addition, there is an extra reinforcement of the Civil Guard and coordination with the Municipal Police, all to favor the possible response to give in each of the scenarios in which the events will take place, with special attention to the enclosures from 13 to 15, and the bullfight on the 15th.
This has been presented at the Local Security Board that was held today in the City of Móstoles, co-chaired by the Subdelegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, and the Mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista Monjón, and in which representatives of the Government team, the Civil Guard, the Local Police, Firefighters of the Community of Madrid and the General Directorate of Security Community of Madrid have also participated.
The deputy delegate of the Government thanked the “enormous effort” that the National Police is going to make as well as the coordination with the rest of the Security Forces and Corps for the elaboration of the operation, and recalled that although “there is no zero risk, the security device is very worked.”
“Positive” evolution of the criminal situation
The meeting also reviewed the situation of crime in the municipality, whose trend “is good”, according to data compared between the period from January to June 2025 and the same period of the year 2024, which place the crime rate of the second city of the region “16 points below the average of the Community of Madrid”.
In this regard, it has been highlighted that conventional crime, which is the one that causes the greatest concern among the population, has been reduced by 9%, which confirms the downward trend that began in 2023. Since that year, it has been reduced by almost 5%.
