On October 24, 2024, the Resolution of October 16, 2024, of the General Directorate of Attention to Victims and Promotion of Democratic Memory, was published in the BOE, which published the Agreement to Initiate the Procedure of Declaration of Place of Democratic Memory the “Tapia de fusilamiento del Cementerio del Este (also known as Cementerio de la Almudena)” of Madrid.
The initiation of this procedure entails the preventive annotation of the good in the Inventory of Places of Democratic Memoryin accordance with article 50.3 of Act 20/2022 of 19 October on Democratic Memory.
Once the allegations presented during the hearing procedure have been incorporated, as well as the requested reports, the General Directorate for the Promotion of Democratic Memory has agreed to open a period of public information of 21 calendar days, starting from the day following the publication of the agreement in the BOE, in accordance with the provisions of articles 82 and 83 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
The purpose of the public information procedure is to give the option to all those who have an interest in the matter to examine the file and make any pleadings that it deems appropriate in relation to the asset in question.
Both the request for consultation and the presentation of allegations may be made through any of the records provided in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, or through the Form enabled on this same web page.
